On a recent bike tour, Lands End to John O'Groates, a very fit looking personal trainer who actually knew a lot about diet said at dinner, the first night, that you cannot exercise without carbs. I said that on the second day, the hardest day of the tour, with 68 miles and 6800 ft of climbing, that I would prove him wrong by eating no carbs at all. I normally eat about 50g. I did it, and finished ahead of him. I'd done this tour before and knew full well how hard it would be. Theoretically you might think it couldn't be done with the average of about 30g carbs I consumed during it, but sometimes theory has to take a back seat to fact. Could I cycle better on higher carbs? I think I probably could, but not a lot.

Re: http://nigeepoo.blogspot.com/2012/04/negativity-is-not-option.html

In his last email to me (written mostly in capital letters with many spelling errors), he called me an "Autistic cocksucker" which is irony at its finest, as people who have Asperger's talk incessantly about one favourite subject and won't go away even after being told to.

Razzamatazz is going to spend the rest of his life creating new email adresses & writing boring emails to me that takes me all of about 5 seconds to block the email address/domain & consign his email to the "SPAM" folder.

Re: http://nigeepoo.blogspot.com/2012/04/negativity-is-not-option.html

I know this is old, but way to set Razwell straight. Check it out. There's a lot out there. Just thought you'd like to know, if you don't already. I apologize for wasting your time if you are already aware.

Psoriasis has been noted as a skin / inflammatory disease manifestation of insulin resistance. There are also studies documenting weight loss improving symptoms, including Kempner's rice diet. see the picture of improvement and links at Denise Minger's blog about Kempner.

search for psoriasis on this page:

https://deniseminger.com/20...

see also section 4.3 for a review discussion of psoriasis:

https://www.hindawi.com/jou...

And here's just a sample (I think there are multiple weight loss studies) from a bariatric (weight loss known to reverse IR) surgery study:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.go...

"Related to psoriasis, 70 % of the patients stayed in remission 6 months after surgery and three of the four patients who were previously medicated with systemic drugs discontinued medication. I've been a bit busy! It depends on what you're trying to achieve. If it's rapid bodyfat loss for a special occasion, it has to be a PSMF, as that produces the maximum safe deficit, while providing sufficient EAAs & EFAs. As males have a higher testosterone level than females, body-fat loss & muscle gain are easier in males than in females.

Females can reproduce and males can't, so females have a higher DHA (C22:6 n-3) level than males, if that's any consolation. Females are also more aesthetically pleasing than males. :-D

Lions actually eat some processed carbs! Ray Cronise, who is pretty switched on and has a mini lab at home, claims he has lost massive amounts of fat personally as well as his clients, including Penn the magician, on mostly plant based low calorie diets and fasting. However, reading your post it makes me think yes maybe this applies to dudes and not for females who have yo -yo'ed over the years with fad diet/bingeing cycles. So Nigel, forget the fat fasts, high fat keto and even all twigs/leaves and go for low cal, low fat, higher protein eh..protein shakes, chicken breasts, tuna, egg whites, fish etc. Any thoughts on the lion diet that's gaining popularity, ie zero carb, all meat

Re: Nige's Diet & Nutrition Blog: Why excessively-rapid weight loss is bad, mm-kay?

IF & ADF are better named IE & ADE, as they're not technically fasting.

Exercise builds muscle, huh? However...

Obesity in Paradise looked at the population, not cherry-picked individuals. Sophie Morgan lived with two of them, ate their meals (she had trouble stomaching stewed mutton flaps, as they looked like pieces of fat with a speck of meat in!), accompanied them to hospital for medicals and basically integrated into their lives. The obesity problem has dramatically worsened over the last 20 years. What has driven this? Clearly, manipulation by the Food Industry.

Manipulation by the Food Industry is causing worsening obesity in multiple countries around the world. Focusing on DGAs, macronutrient ratios &/or any other irrelevancy is classic misdirection. The Food Industry is playing you, but you don't seem to be aware of it.

Current, real life experience trumps your data. They stew them with vegetables. The resulting cooked meat is a lump of fat with a bit of meat in it. I advise you to watch it, before making further comment. "Probably"? You're just making shit up.

I never claimed that meds caused their obesity, so you can stop talking bollocks right now. It's the huge intake of LCHF, HCHF & HCLF crap that's caused their obesity.

I don't know where you're getting your facts from, but I'm getting severe cognitive dissonance reading them.

If all you're going to do is insult me or my intelligence, I think you can guess what'll happen next, as we've been there before.

This is your first and final warning, just so's you know.

Re: Nige's Diet & Nutrition Blog: The Elephant in the Room.

I'm picking up the following:-
1. Keys started it. Was he sponsored by Industry i.e. bent scientist?
2. US Gov't carried it on.
3. Ukase? What's a ukase? Govt ordered Industry (or did Industry bribe politicians?). I just Googled it! :-D
4. Please list LF CIAB products that are global best-sellers today.
5. Pls list bent scientists.
6. Pls list sugar-paid dudes.
7. No, I haven't seen that Stamler clip but I believe you.
8. People afraid of fat in produce, so eating LF CIAB instead.
9. LF CIAB is unfulfilling, so they eat HF CIAB instead.
10. Obesity rates rising in other countries, ∴ you are right.
11. No high prescription use in other countries. Can you support this with evidence?

Notes:
1. is possibly Industry.
2. is Govt.
3. is Govt or Industry.
4. is Industry.
5. is Industry.
6. is Industry.
7. is Industry.
8. not sure who created fear.
9. conflicts with 4!
10. Must be Govts' fault in other countries?
11. Awaiting your evidence.
Your conclusion: Govt's fault, amirite? If so, this supports my hypothesis that Bernays's methods really do work. Misdirection by creating false narratives is a Bernays manipulation method.
My conclusion: Industry's fault.

Can you watch http://www.channel4.com/pro... , using proxy if necessary? Salient points:-
~90% of American Samoans (AS) are overweight or obese.
~33% of AS have T2DM.
Humongous use of medications for T2DM & complications thereof.
Samoans (S) & AS grow crops but population believe that imported LCHF ultra-high-fat off-cuts like Lamb flaps (~40% fat by weight) + Turkey Tails (Parson's Noses ~50% fat by weight?) + Corned Beef w/20% fat + fries + every HCHF CIAB under the sun + HCLF sugary shit, are superior to crops (I kid you not!). Who brain-washed the population, George?
T2DM patients seen sitting in hospital wards eating fries in front of Govt posters warning about eating CIAB, fries etc!
Who's to blame for S & AS, George?
